Korrie Brown
Associate Director, Associate Director, Career Services, Arizona State University
Korrie Brown serves as the Associate Director of Career Services at Arizona State University, where she leads initiatives focused on experiential learning, curriculum development, and university-wide internship strategy. With a strong commitment to career equity, Korrie has developed programs that increase access to career resources for all students. She also serves as faculty for the School of Community Resources and Development, teaching leadership and sustainable tourism courses. With over a decade of experience in higher education, Korrie is passionate about creating innovative career development opportunities that meet the diverse needs of today’s students.

Emily E. McCarthy
Interim Executive Director, Student Engagement & Career Development (SECD), The University of Arizona
Emily McCarthy has served as the Interim Executive Director of Student Engagement & Career Development (SECD) at the University of Arizona since August 1, 2024, after serving as Senior Director, Career Development for 4 years. Previously she led NAU Career Development at Northern Arizona University, where she reinvigorated the Career Development function and created a campus-wide Student Employment program grounded in career readiness. NAU’s Student Employment program won the inaugural Career Leadership Collective Innovation Award in 2019. A mid-career changer to higher education, Emily previously worked with federal government agencies and government contractors focused on maximizing employee, team, and organization performance through training, structure, processes, and systems. Emily holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Richmond, a M.A. in Performance Systems and a Graduate Certificate in Organization Development from Marymount University, and a Graduate Certificate in Career and Workforce Development from the George Washington University. Emily completed an Economic Opportunity Fellowship through the Aspen Institute in 2023. Outside of work Emily enjoys exploring the state, country, and world, spending time with her partner, family, friends, and pets, cheering on her favorite NFL teams, and frequenting Tucson’s cat cafes. This is Emily’s 13th Arizona Statewide Career Conference!

Ron Gaschler
Director, Advising, Transfer and Career Services, GateWay Community College, Maricopa Community Colleges
Ron Gaschler is a Strengths Based Educator and Leader with 25 years of experience in higher education leadership and 7 plus years of experience in industry. Currently serving as the Director of Academic Advising and Career Services at GateWay Community College in the Maricopa County Community College District he previously held roles in leadership at DeVry University, University of Arizona, University of Arizona Global Campus, California State University San Marcos, Maricopa County Community Colleges, and Azusa Pacific University. Outside of higher education, he worked in real estate, as well as for America West Airlines, Bank of America and Strata Information Group – an enterprise resource planning consulting firm for higher education.
Recently, Ron co-led a NACE STEM Affinity Subgroup, currently serves on the Board for the Mountain Pacific Association of Colleges and Employers, and is a National Association of Colleges and Employers Mentor. He served in the past as the Treasurer for Consortium of Liberal Arts Schools and Independent Colleges in California, as a member of the National Advisory Board for Disney’s Internship Program, Chaired the Maricopa County Community College District’s Career Services Council, and on the Executive Board of Directors for the Escondido Education Compact, a not for profit providing workforce development services for “at-risk” youth in North San Diego County.
Over the past two decades in career services and student affairs leadership, Ron has accomplishments in corporate relationship building, program improvement, revenue generation, grant writing, collaborations with faculty in academic and occupational programs, building effective partnerships with industry, government and not for profit agencies, and extensive career coaching and implementation training around strengths based programs using the Clifton StrengthsFinder for Students. He has experience in innovative leadership, building productive teams, and creating scalable and equitable services for all users.
Ron Gaschler’s education includes a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in marketing and Masters of Education in College Student Affairs and is a Certified Gallup Coach.

John Gartin
Director, NAU Career Development, Northern Arizona University
John Gartin, the Director of NAU Career Development at Northern Arizona University, is a coach and educator with a rich background over three decades in leadership, team building, program development, and career readiness. His background includes the U.S. Navy Reserves, a faculty member at 5 different colleges and universities, and as a NCAA Division 1 and Division 2 women’s rowing coach earning 6 Conference Championships and 1 NCAA Championship. He holds a Master’s in Geography researching trans-border environmental systems modeling and a Master’s in Organizational Leadership where his research in the application of Generative AI in leadership, career readiness, and team development resulted in the development of the INSPIRE Methodology of Generative AI Prompt Engineering.

Aysha Bell
Executive Director, Career Services, Grand Canyon University
Aysha Bell, MA has had a steadily advancing career at Grand Canyon University since 2012, serving in a range of roles which have shaped career development, leadership programming, new hire orientation, and specialized initiatives for undergraduate, graduate, and alumni populations. In 2023, Aysha assumed the role of Executive Director of Career Services where she currently directs the strategic planning, development, and execution of career programs and employer relationships designed to elevate students’ career readiness and post-graduate success.
With a diverse background spanning social services, talent acquisition, and government, in addition to higher education, Aysha brings a multidisciplinary perspective to her position. Aysha hold a B.S. in Communications from Indiana State University, an M.A. in Christian Leadership from Grand Canyon University, and is a certified life coach.
Deeply committed to service, Aysha actively gives back to her local community and supports others in their career, personal, and spiritual growth. Above all, she treasures time with her husband and two daughters who she adores and considers the absolute most important aspect of her life.
