Proposal Submission
Prior to proposal submission, the Office of Research and Grants (Grants Office) is responsible for reviewing the proposal, budget and other elements for compliance with university processes and policies, sponsor requirements, and state and federal regulations.
Steps for Proposal Review:
All proposals submitted to external funders by GCU must go through an internal review and approval process before submission.
Proposal Finalization and Final Review
The PI and the Grants Office finalized proposal document and prepare for submission.
Final Review Includes:
- Desk Review: The Grants Office will review for alignment with sponsor guidelines.
- PI Approval: The Principal Investigator (PI) must approve the final version.
- Dean Approval: The finalized proposal is then reviewed and approved by the Dean.
Obtain Required Signatures
Secure any necessary signatures on proposal documents.
Submission
We recommend PIs begin routing their proposals at least 7 business days before the submission date due to the time required for internal review.
