Grand Canyon University hosts a diverse collection of academic journals that provide platforms for both students and faculty to engage in scholarly research and discourse across various disciplines. These journals emphasize high-quality research, faculty mentorship, and the dissemination of knowledge within the academic community.

The Canyon Journal of Undergraduate Research (CJUR) is dedicated to the publication of exemplary faculty-mentored and peer-reviewed research produced by undergraduate students at Grand Canyon University (GCU). The CJUR is multidisciplinary with original, contemporary research in alignment with the Boyer Model of Scholarship. This publication is inclusive of a competitive manuscript selection process that undergoes rigorous peer-review.

The Journal of Biblical and Theological Studies (JBTS) is an academic journal focused on the fields of Bible and Theology from an inter-denominational point of view. The journal is comprised of an editorial board of scholars that represent several academic institutions throughout the world. JBTS is concerned with presenting high-level original scholarship in an approachable way.

The Journal of Educators Online (JEO) is a triannual publication by the Center for Innovation in Research and Teaching at Grand Canyon University that highlights research in the broad area of Computer Mediated Learning (CML) which includes distance, online, electronic, virtual, distributed, blended and mobile learning. Computer-mediated learning occurs when an individual interactively learns (formally or informally, synchronously or asynchronously) about material via computer means where the learning materials and pedagogy are developed to take advantage of the available technologies.

The Journal of Instructional Research (JIR) is an annual publication by the Center for Innovation in Research and Teaching at Grand Canyon University. The journal highlights faculty research relevant to best practices in post-secondary instruction. JIR has a unique two-stage evaluation process with public peer review and interactive discussion followed by a final formalized peer review for interested authors.

The Journal of Scholarly Engagement (JSE) provides faculty with an academic outlet to document, share, and disseminate scholarship in Boyer’s domains/functions of discovery, teaching and learning, application and integration. JSE features empirically-based and theoretical research articles, community engagement portfolios, professional profiles, and reflective practice manuscripts for faculty research across the disciplines and within the community at large, with special emphasis given to scholarly engagement in the scholarship of teaching and learning, scholarship of application and the scholarship of integration. Manuscripts must be supported with scholarly evidence, grounded in the relevant literature of the chosen topic.
