Our Students and Their Work

Students must complete a senior portfolio as part of the Colloquium in Rhetoric and Writing course, a required class that is offered each semester.

Students who are getting a bachelor’s degree, a minor, or a graduate degree in professional and technical writing are encouraged to get internships to supplement their coursework. Learn more about workplace internship opportunities.

Inside the Feral Cat Epidemic

A single feral cat, left to their own devices, can kill over 1,000 small animals a year. They are deemed responsible for the extinction of at least 33 bird species globally. Multiply that by more than 250,000 ferals within Maricopa County alone, and there must be action to care for the wildlife and cats living within it as well.
